Hippies & Cowboys Podcast

My favorite podcast to make guest appearances on since the release of Red Dirt in 2020 has been Hippies & Cowboys, with the unflappable duo of Garrett McKie and Mike Hart. My first visit came in 2020, and we were heavy on some Turnpike Troubadours news — a feat we ran back in 2021 and 2023.

Recently, Hippies & Cowboys returned from hiatus with a new co-host: me. (Mike keeps his free time filled with The Thicket). I’d been expressing interest to Garrett in doing something with him. We envisioned it as a new project. But late this spring, he came to me and said, “Let’s just run back Hippies and Cowboys” so that’s what we did. I’m extremely excited to co-pilot with him.
